Grain Bin Safety Week state proclamations
Acknowledging the importance of grain bin safety, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed an official proclamation on February 7, 2018, recognizing the fifth-annual Grain Bin Safety Week.
Nationwide is excited to announce these state proclamations because they represent a growing respect and awareness for the greater grain community. Since its inception in 2014, Grain Bin Safety Week has always been a champion for promoting grain safety and preventing needless tragedies. During a month when many farmers are planning for the upcoming season, this also serves as a great reminder to everyone for what’s at stake. With continued support and generosity from around the country, we can make grain bin accidents a thing of the past.
Several states impacted by the risks of grain handling and storage have issued proclamations to recognize Grain Bin Safety Week in their respective states:
- New York
- North Dakota
- South Dakota
- West Virginia
Nationwide and our Grain Bin Safety Week partners appreciate the support of these states and their commitment to safe practices around grain handling and storage systems.
